I have a question about the magnetic field lines. If we want to draw the arrows of the compass within the magnetic field lines, we only need to draw arrows for the North Pole right? Cuz it always points toward the South?

Hi AdorableApatosaur,
It’s probably very surprising but the earth is acting as a very big magnet whose North Pole is pointing south while the South Pole is pointing north. The reason is quite simple. The north pole of a magnet is attracted by the south pole of this big magnet inside our planet.
