A toxicology threshold refers to the amount of an ingredient or substance one can be exposed to before an adverse health effect may occur.
There are a lot of factors that could influence the toxicity of a substance. For example, the dosage, duration of exposure, or the route of exposure of the substance, or the age, sex, and environment of the person that is in contact with the substance.
