Hi,
Subtracting integers is like adding integers because of the way subtraction can be converted into addition. When you subtract an integer, you're essentially adding its opposite.
To subtract an integer is the same as adding its negative. For example, when you perform the operation 7−3, you can think of it as 7+(−3). Both operations will yield the same result: 4.

To add, start at the first number and move to the second number; to subtract, start from the second number and move to the first number. −8+(−5) − 8 + ( − 5 ) -8 + (-5) −8+(−5) is addition.
