    Good evening TomateSupra7536!

During the 20th century, several measures were put in place by the government to make Canada a destination of choice for settling and living there.

For example, the government of Wilfrid Laurier promised free land to immigrants who came to settle in Canada so that they could build houses and/or farms. In addition, in order to help immigrants with the various procedures upon their arrival, several immigration offices were created.
