Page 76, question 10 (velocity in a split second intime): Why did they put that arrow to the left on top of the cart? Shouldn't the direction be to the right?

    Thank you very much for your question! No, the arrow is in the right direction. In fact, to measure the movement of an object, you can use a spark stopwatch. This stopwatch allows you to measure the movement, but also to calculate the time intervals. It is therefore used in particular to calculate the acceleration.

    However, to use the spark timer, the object must move away from the timer. In fact, we attach a spool of ribbon to your object and we insert this spool into the spark timer. As the object departs, the timer emits a spark at each precise interval on the spool, which produces a dot on your strip of paper. This is why the arrow is in the right direction.
