I’m having a lot of trouble when two ropes help eachother to hold something like how do I know which rope will hold how much on the x axis in this question?

    Hi !

    In these kinds of exercises, you need to look at the resulting force. In this case, the resulting force is zero (no translational movement). Now, you can break the resulting force into two components along the axes.
