    Thanks for your question.

    Adhesion is the phenomenon whereby two bodies in contact tend to stick together.

    Friction is the force that opposes the sliding of parts over each other.

    The main difference between the two is that the grip prevents movement between bodies while the friction allows it. Grip is therefore more concerned with surfaces that are stationary on each other than those that slide over each other.
