First of all, centimeters (cm), decimeters (dm), and meters (m) are all units of measurement.
Let's start with the smallest: the centimeter. The centimeter is the smallest measurement among those you named me. If you take a ruler, there are the numbers 0 to 30 on one side of your ruler. Well, each distance between 2 digits (example: between 1 and 2) represents 1 centimeter (cm). It's small, isn't it?
Now on to the decimeters. The decimeter is a little larger than the centimeter: in fact, 1 decimeter is equivalent to 10 centimeters. If you go back to your rule and start from 0, you can go to 10 and this will give you the measurement of a decimetre (dm).
Finally, let's talk about the meter. The meter is the largest unit of measurement between centimeters, decimeters and meters. In fact, the meter contains 100 centimeters! Also, we can say that it contains 10 decimeters. It's big, isn't it?
