First of all, to start problem solving, I suggest you read the problem carefully to make sure you understand it. To do this, I recommend that you read the problem twice: once to tame it and a second time to make sure you understand it.
Then, by reading it, you need to find the keywords that will tell you what to do as an operation to find the answer. For example, if in your problem solving, there is the word "2 more than ...", it means that you will have to do an addition to find a result. By researching these keywords, you make sure you understand what you need to do and you make a plan.
After that, all you have to do is put this plan into action.
