Hi EfficientEagle2708!
For the question 8, it is tricky because of the term impulse. we often mix it up with velocity. In our case, just like Newton said, For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. So, the impulse of the two balls will be the same (opposite).
The difference of the weights will have an effect on the velocity. Then, the lighter ball will be much more affected.
For the question 11, while I won't give you the answer, I will give you some hints to make sur you understand.
You will need to find to work of the force P to move the block 8 meters and the final speed without counting the friction. It should give you a speed greater than 2,6 m/s. Then, you need to find the amount of friction (force in the opposite way) to slow the block down to 2,6 m/s. This will be your final answer.
Keep it up! Feel free to ask other questionsđ
