    I believe that you must be at a level higher than is indicated under your pseudo name.


    i, j, and k are used mostly to represent an orthogonal basis of unit vectors (vectors whose norm are one)

    they are associated with the x, y and z axes

    they can also be represented by (1, 0, 0) (0, 1, 0) and (0, 0, 0)

    and r can be represented by (x, y, z).
