I saw this in an article for my health class:
Of her experience, she said, “I learned the depth of my strength and how much I could accomplish. My courage surprised me…Being surrounded by nature reminded me to keep the Big Picture in mind not only during my wilderness experience, but also when I returned home. Life is in front of me and I have lots of options.”
I don't understand how being surrounded by nature can help you see the bigger picture in mind. Can someone help or explain please.

Hello CalmSwan8973,
That is a good question.
People may interpret it differently. Though, I see it as the wild being big, and making everything else (even what we think is super important/powerful/stressful/big) little and not as important. Also, some people may find comfort and peace in the wild. Therefore, it may keep them down-to-earth, and help them focus on what matters and the final objective.
Hope it helps!
