    hello,

    i'm not entirely sure, but something along the lines of "reserved" or "withdrawn" might come close.

    additionally, not an adjective, but you could describe that person as being a "wallflower".

    yes, it could be considered a character flaw for the character to overcome depending on how it's written, but it can easily be a character trait too.

    Hi,

    I'm not sure there's a word specific for this other than the 2 you just used. However, yes I think it can be a flaw, it simply depends how you write it in your character's personnality.
