    First of all, the replacement you use is based off of the role of ''The International Olympics''. If you can ask the question ''who'' to get ''International Olympics'', then you would replace it with 'they'. If you need to ask ''where'', then you would use 'it'.

    For example:

    I passed by the International Olympics./ I passed by IT. The International Olympics have a website/ THEY have a website.
