Question de l’élève

Secondaire 4 • 1m

Hello, I have a question for grade 10 history. I have a question about the sovereigntist movement. As there was a new form of Nationalism is formed: Neo-Nationalism. This differs from other forms of nationalism because it has the sense of belonging to the Quebec territory, and leads to the redefinition of Quebec identity. Therefore, French Canadian now call them as Québéçois. Does the sovereigntist movement mean that Québécois wants to separate Quebec from Canada? When Levesque and other parties form the Parti Quebeçois, they believe that Quebec should be a sovereign country while maintaining economic ties with Canada. ;)
