Here’s a creative way for elementary school students to combine art and math in celebration of Easter. In this colour by numbers activity, students will reveal cute seasonal designs by solving equations. This resource includes four colouring pages, one for each type of arithmetic operation.

Students must use mental math to solve the equations in each square, then check the colour key and fill in the squares with the colours corresponding to the answers. For example, if the answer is 4, the square is yellow, and if the answer is 10, the square is green.
