    Rotational motion describes the movement made by an object that follows a circular path (which rotates) around an axis without moving on the axis.

    Helical motion describes the movement performed by an object that follows a circular path (which rotates) around an axis while moving along the axis.


    In short, helical motion is a fusion of rotational motion and rectilinear translational motion.


    Also, helical motion and rotational motion are not represented by the same symbol.
