Title: prejudice of appearance
It's very difficult to be a normal-looking girl. It's like you're doing nothing right. If you don´t dress up, people say there are no ugly women, only lazy ones. Before this sentence appeared, I was just a simple ugly woman. If you do something bad, people will say your heart is ugly, so your face is ugly. If you are very kind, people will say that we don't judge a person by their appearance . If I say I think I'm pretty, people will say can't you afford a mirror? If I say I think I am ugly, people will say you should accept yourself.
And everyone's photos on facebook are so pretty! When can we post something that shows our individuality without involving beauty or ugliness? For example, fingerprints.
Because of my inferiority complex in appearance, I gave up a lot of things. Don't run for the student council, you won't get elected (as we all know, running is a beauty pageant). Don't pursue him, it will definitely be fruitless. Don't rob the bank, you will be caught on surveillance camera, I'm not photogenic.
But having an appearance like mine is not without benefits. I always show weakness, act like a spoiled child, and eat ice cream from boys without permission. But no one would call me b word . She was just hungry.

The last day of school, December 22, is not only a sign of relaxation but also a Chinese traditional festival— winter solstice(or Dongzhi). This historical festival involves some customs that people still practice today. Let's take a look at it together.
The source of this festival goes back to ancient times. The ancient Chinese created 24 solar terms according to Natural rhythm changes. Winter solstice, which has the shortest day and the longest night, is the second term. Since the Han dynasty, People began to consider this day as a festival. According to them, this day is a “lucky day” because the winter solstice signifies the return of the sun. Since this solar term, The height of the sun begins to rise, and the daytime begins to increase. So, Chinese ancestry celebrated this day for the sun's rebirth and the augmentation of “Yang''(according to yin yang philosophy, yang is a positive energy that is good for health and raised by the sun’s height. )This antique festival passes through several dynasties and continues to be celebrated by China.
In different Chinese regions, the winter solstice involves radically different customs. But there is one thing in common in whole China - a time for families to get together. On this day, families in southern China will make sesame tang yuan ( glutinous rice balls) that symbolize reunion and eat them. But, in northern China, more people eat dumplings. Northerners believe that eating ear-shaped dumplings can prevent the ears from freezing. Some Chinese who have the Veneration of the dead would visit their ancestors’ graves and pay their respects by worshipping. So, all Chineses celebrate the winter solstice, but in different ways.
Winter solstice occurs in an important place in Chinese tradition. Every Chinese person, no matter their geographical location, remembers this day and celebrates it in their way with their family. Are you interested in this festival? Eat sesame tang yuan or dumplings!

Title:One For All The title that I gave my school magazine isOne For All.In order for you all to better understand why I use this topic, I will explain it in detail in the following part of text.
Our school is a French-speaking school, so the English proficiency of students varies. Some of them´s mother tongue is English, while the others can only use English for basic communication. Their contrasting levels makes them interpret this title quite distinctly. For English beginners, they may think this is a collection of all the school topics (sports, art, politics, etc.)since this is a school magazine. But, for English masters, they will figure out this is an expression(even though juste the first part) and the meaning “Each individual should act for the benefit of the group” of it.
The second interpretation reflects the value of altruism that is central to the IB program of our school and also of my school magazine. Because this magazine will help customers to gain the connaissance of different topics even though you buy it just for one specific subject. For example, somebody who buys this magazine for gossip may find out that the politic section is quite attractive and improve his connaissance on it. Beside, all the money earned by the magazine will be donated to school. This will provide free lunches for needy students.
If you are interested in your school´s news(of course you are) and want to give a hand to the others who need, choose this title and buy my magazine please!

If somebody doesn't know the meaning of this expression, then he or she will think that this title means a magazine that contains all the topics relative to school life, such as art & culture, politics, current events and sports. If somebody knows this expression which signifies each individual should act for the benefit of the group, then he or she will understand that this title presents the altruism value of the IB program of our school. "If you have social media for quite a long time, then you must’ve heard of the man who sued McDonald’s only because he was still depressed after eating his happy meal".
J'hésite entre ces temps de verbes dessus, et "you have been on social media [...]". Aussi, est-elle trop longue?
