    Hello Pieuvre Magique, 

    Good question! 

    Gases are generally invisible since the particles that constitute them are very distant from each other. However the atmosphere (the gaseous layer surrounding the Earth) appears blue, as can be seen in some photos of Earth taken from space. This is because this layer is so thick that it does not allow all the light to pass through, unlike gases found on Earth.
