    Hi!

    You have:

    $$4a^2-9$$

You can use the difference of squares technique to find the factors of this expression:

    $$(2a)^2-3^2$$

    $$(2a-3)(2a+3)

So the factors are (2a-3) and (2a+3). The sum of these factors is:

    $$(2a-3)+(2a+3)$$

    $$2a-3+2a+3$$

I'll let you do the maths ;)

Reach out if there is anything else! 😁
