Top 5 Alloprof tools to help your high school student with homework

Article

Ah, homework! Some teens don’t mind doing theirs. Others have a harder time with it. Luckily, Alloprof has created a host of tools you can use to help make homework time a breeze for your teens and encourage them to become more autonomous. Here are 5 tools you shouldn’t hesitate to share with them.

Ask questions in the Help Zone, 7 days a week

It’s perfectly normal for teens to get flustered in the middle of their homework. Fortunately, as soon they have a question or begin to doubt themselves, students can head straight to the Help Zone, which is open 7 days a week. In addition to getting quick, clear explanations, they can also answer questions other students have asked.  Of course, everything in the Help Zone is validated by real teachers. This is one online community you’ll definitely want to pin to your favourites.

Concept sheets and Core Concepts

Did you know? The Alloprof website is filled with more than 3,000 Concept sheets! The sheets feature examples, exercises, and videos that sum up over 5,000 concepts from the Quebec Education Program. It’s safe to say that all students will find what they’re looking for to understand their homework better. Students can also check out our high-school-level Core Concepts to review all essential content by academic year and subject. This simple yet effective resource helps students find what they’re looking for.

Exercises (French only)

Practise makes perfect, wouldn’t you agree? Alloprof has 600 exercises to help you do just that. Here are some of our more popular ones (French only):

French verb tenses
French parts of speech
Fractions and decimals
Etc.

Concept videos

For students who want to review a specific concept or who missed an important piece of information during class, concept videos can be a big help. Each video clearly explains the concept students are seeking to review in 4 minutes or less. The great thing about concept videos is you can literally pause the teacher or make them repeat what they’ve just said as many times as you like. Encourage your teen to subscribe to the Alloprof YouTube channel so they can stay up to date on all our latest videos.

Chat, text, or phone

For students who prefer to “ask a teacher,” or talk to a real human, our team is always ready and motivated to answer their questions, free of charge! This service is available Monday to Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students who live in Quebec can talk to one of our 200 teachers by chat, text, or phone. Even parents can access this valuable tool to better assist their children.
