Hello again :)
I have another question and this one is concerning the National policy of John A. Macdonald. Can you please explain to me what this policy was?

The National Policy of 1878 was a response to the economic crisis of 1873. John A. Macdonald, with the help of the rest of his party (conservative), suggested a policy which was based on three elements: the increase in tariffs, the creation of a railway (the transcontinental) and the arrival of immigrants.
The purpose of this policy was to promote an internal market and therefore, at the same time, to help Canadian businesses.
