    According to the law of conservation of matter, no matter is lost nor created. It is simply transformed.

    You may have already heard of this in the form of popular wisdom: "Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed!"

    Essentially, although the volume changes after the reaction, it is only because the reaction’s products have properties that make them take up a larger volume. It is impossible that this chemical reaction created a new gas.

    The assertion is therefore false.
