Hello! Thank you very much for your question!

The first centers of sedentarization settled in a region of the world called the Fertile Crescent (now the Middle East). As the name suggests, this is a great place for agriculture and farming.

The Earth's climate first warmed. Humans then sought to settle in parts of the world where it was warmer and where they could find resources in abundance. Places near watercourses were valued, since the land there is more fertile and the presence of a watercourse facilitates the transport of goods.

Since the land is more fertile, humans have adopted a way of life based on agriculture. They therefore grew their food and had less and less need for hunting and gathering. In addition, by growing the food on site, humans were able to keep animals in enclosures instead of hunting them. This process therefore facilitated access to food, but also to leather, wool and milk.

Since food and subsistence items were readily available, humans no longer needed to hunt and gather. They could then move into permanent houses.
