    Earth’s spheres can be distinguished by their characteristics and the features of the Earth that they include:

    • The biosphere includes all living things on Earth, whether they are animals, plants or microorganisms.

    • The hydrosphere includes all the water on Earth, whether it is in solid, liquid or gaseous phase.

    • The lithosphere includes the earth's crust and the upper part of the mantle, therefore, mostly rocks and minerals.

    • The atmosphere includes the layer of gas that surrounds the Earth.
