    Good evening!

The Quebec Act of 1774 revoked the Royal Proclamation of 1763 which sought to assimilate French Canadians from the province of Quebec. This act aims to acquire the loyalty of the francophones of the province, under the recommendations of Governor James Murray. The Quebec Act guarantees freedom of belief and the restoration of the rights of French property.

    Hope that answers your question!
