    Hello!

Thanks to the many feminist actions of the 20th century, society has greatly advanced in terms of gender equality. However,to this day there are still some inequalities, especially in terms of pay equity and parity.

In 1996, the government adopted a law on pay equity. This subjects employers to certain regulations such as offering the same wages to women and men. However, in 2006, some areas of predominantly female employment were still problematic. The government then signed agreements with unions in education, health and the public service, since these areas are still experiencing large wage gaps.

However, there also have been many advances in terms of gender equality!

    Hope that answers your question!
