    Good evening!

After World War II, people had more jobs, which marked a period of prosperity in Canada. Citizens had more money and therefore more access to credit. The purchasing power of Canadians was then greatly increased, which led to a greater capacity to consume goods. This was and still is called Americanism.

We gave it this name since it referred to the "American way of life". This ideology was inspired by the fact that, in order to be happy, you have to own as many goods as possible. We therefore saw the appearance of household appliances and more frequent purchases of cars.
