    Hi Black Lion!

When the temperature decreases, it causes a decrease in the adhesion between the materials. When ice covers the ground in winter, the adhesion between it and the rubber of the tires is much smaller than that between asphalt and rubber.

To ensure road safety in winter, vehicle tires are changed for tires with a softer rubber that does not harden with temperature, which allows better grip with the road.

    Hope this helped !
