What is the difference between colonialism at the end of the 19th century and current neocolonialism?

    Thank you for your question!

    Colonialism was an established policy, which aimed at the occupation and exploitation of a territory, by a state or country foreign to it. This can be for economic, social, etc. reasons.

    Example: Colonization is a consequence of colonialism at the time.

    On the other hand, neocolonialism is a dependence of one state on another state.
