I am copying here a paragraph describing Modern Times which can be found on our site :
" The capture of Constantinople in 1453 reduced access to Asia and forced the European kingdoms to finance great explorations in order to find another way to Asia. It is then that the New World (America) was discovered. The 18th century, also called the Age of Enlightenment, is the scene of protest movements that will lead to the American and French revolutions. It is also the French Revolution, in 1789, that is considered to have marked the end of modern times. "
After reading this paragraph, would Modern Times, according to you, be more a period of stagnation or progress?
Do not hesitate if you have other questions, it will be a real pleasure for us to help you! :)
