    Hi! :) Thank you for your question!

    First, when we talk about forced migration, we often refer to people who are said to be “refugees”. These are individuals who have not voluntarily made the choice to leave their country, but are subject to it due to several factors, such as the climate, tensions / violent conflicts, political problems, etc.

    The consequences are numerous, but on the other hand, it is necessary to understand the concept of the word "consequences", because they can be as negative as positive.

    For individuals / families, the consequences can be:

    • Physical : fatigue, exhaustion, weakened health;
    • Psychological : bereavement, anxiety, confusion, distress and more vulnerable mental health;
    • Financial / economic : difficulty in finding a job, debt;
    • Social : a limited circle of friends, isolation, linguistic and cultural barriers, difficulty in adapting.

    For the host society:

    • Financial : lack of accessibility and availability for individuals;
    • Socio-economic : lack of staff to help them, lack of resources to welcome people from different backgrounds.

    Let us know if we can help you with anything else! :)
