    Hello,

The rice terraces allow the cultivation of rice on mountainous land. Several small flat lands are hollowed in the mountain in a staircase shape. Each step thus created allows the cultivation of rice, a crop that requires a lot of water to grow. The flat relief created allows water to be retained in place instead of flowing as it would on the side of a natural mountain.
