I"m doing a project about why young germans would join Hitler Jugend (Hitler youth nazi group)? I was just wondering if joining had any advantages for the members?

    Hi InsighfulMoose,

Thank you for using our services!

The young Germans, boys and girls, were pressured to either join the Hitler youth or the League of German girls. Its main goal was to teach children to be both racially conscious and physically fit in order to build a new future for Germany.

From March 1939, the Hitler Youth became the only legal youth movement in Nazi Germany. The regime threatened to punish those who failed to comply.
