I have a genuine question, why do we have more white blood cells when we get infected? I never understood that.
I have the same question like you but i am learning
about it at school and i am in fifth grade. And i am not
sure if we learn it in 5th grade or high school 3

When you are infected by a desease for example, your body needs to fight it. To do that, it will produce more white blood cells wich have a large rôle in the immune system.
