    The circulatory system is essential for so many reasons. It allows blood to be transported around the body, moving oxygen into distant tissues and moving carbon dioxide out. It also moves around immune cells, thus allowing a fast response to any foreign pathogen. It carries hormones and other chemical messengers around with it, which also means the circulatory system can serve as a messenger.
