Hi, I can’t seem to understand how I can find time with the EE formula. How is this possible and what are the steps? (By the way, it’s not an exam don’t worry I’m not cheating)

Hi UnusualCrocodile,
Thanks for your question!
Before using the EE formula, you must find the time it takes to reach 1.0 MJ with a power of 1700W.
Remember that 1 W equals to 1 J per second. Thus, 1700 W equals to 1700 J/s.
1.0 MJ equals 1,000,000 J. If you divide this number by 1700 J/s, you will find the time it takes to produce 1.0 MJ.
Therefore, you need to find the real consumption of energy of the fryer with an energy efficiency of 90% (by using the EE formula). Then, you will be able to find the answer using the method I described.
