Hi, I was wondering what this expression meant:
Blood is thicker than water.
I know it is related with family (blood) and strangers (water), but I can't seem to understand what it means.
Thanks.

Hi PerroquetIncomparable726,
I can help you with this question.
Firstly, this idiom means that family bonds are stronger than the ones with strangers. Since blood is thicker it stays together better. With water, it flows more freely.
I hope you understand now. Continue working hard.

Maybe it’s because family is more important than strangers? But I really don’t know…
