    Measurement for how long something is
  • height
    Measurement for how tall something is
  • width
    Measurement for how wide something is
  • perimeter
    Measurement for the outline of a 2D shape
  • area
    Measurement for the surface covered by a 2D shape
  • volume
    Measurement of the 3D space occupied by a solid
  • vertex
    A corner where 2 (or more) lines or edges meet
  • vertices
    Plural form of “vertex”
  • symmetrical
    Having two sides that are exactly the same when divided by a central line
  • parallel
    Lines, sides, or faces that are always the same distance apart and will never intersect
  • perpendicular
    Describes two lines that meet or cross each other at a perfect 90° angle forming a corner like the letter L
  • right angle
    An angle that measures 90­°
  • obtuse angle
    An angle that measures more than 90­°, but less than 180°.
  • acute angle
    An angle that measures less than 90­°, but more than 0°.
  • convex
    A 2D shape where all its interior angles are less than 180° and no side curves inward.
  • concave
    A 2D shape that has at least one interior angle greater than 180° causing the shape to curve inward
