Quick Writes | Learning activity

Students are given a visual prompt and asked to write about it for a set period of time, then share their writing.

Quick writes are not designed to be evaluated as a finished text that has fully gone through the writing process. The focus is on writing fluency rather than accuracy.
However, comparing sample quick writes over time can provide valuable insight into the students’ writing skills progress.
