Alloprof’s mission is to offer remote academic support to all Quebec students and their parents, free of charge. 

Last year alone, 550,000 students from all over Quebec turned to Alloprof’s free digital services for help with their school assignments and lesson review. As a result, we helped boost their academic perseverance and success by tackling one problem at a time, 60 million times. CONTRACT DESCRIPTION

Position: Alloprof Workshop Animator 

Contract start date: As soon as possible 

Contract type: Freelance (variable number of hours per week, depending on demand) 

Alloprof helps young people achieve academic success—the driving force behind personal, social, and economic development in Quebec. 

Alloprof is growing, and we’re looking for motivated people to join our facilitation team to help us introduce our services to our target audience: young people! 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

As a workshop animator, you will work under the supervision of the Community Coordinator. You will be responsible for leading interactive workshops, primarily for elementary and high school students. These workshops are intended to inform young people about the services offered by our organization and demonstrate how our tools can be useful to them. 

Your job will be to give a dynamic, interactive, engaging, and motivating presentation that will give young people a memorable experience and encourage them to use Alloprof’s many services! 

The animators may also be asked to represent Alloprof at booths during fairs and conferences.

DESIRED PROFILE AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications: 

  • Training in animation, facilitation, communications, human relations, or education, or any other combination of training and experience relevant to the position
  • Experience creating and leading workshops and/or activities for elementary and high school students
  • A strong sense of initiative and high degree of creativity, in order to take existing presentations to the next level
  • An excellent ability to adapt presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Professionalism and flexibility around scheduling
  • Energy and the ability to adapt to your audience
  • Mastery of Google Slides and Kahoot (an asset)
  • Bilingualism (Note that the selected candidate will also lead workshops in French-speaking environments).

CONDITIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS

  • Travel required within Montreal (possibly south and north shore) and sometimes elsewhere in Quebec (presentations will be given in classrooms)
  • Mainly daytime hours, Monday to Friday
  • Hours vary from week to week
  • Hourly rate of $26.70
  • Access to a car and valid driver’s licence (mandatory) 

Due to the nature of this position, a criminal background check will be performed as part of the hiring process.
