Hello, is it a good idea to take the time to try to read a word? Because my sister always wants to say it for me so that my reading will be faster, but my teacher gives me time…

Hello, thank you for your question! :-)

It's a great idea to take the time to read a word you don't know! Indeed, waiting and reading it for yourself first is helpful! In fact, it allows you to try and say it on your own, thinking about the different sounds of the word. This is even what we, the teachers, suggest! Sometimes it can be longer, but it gets easier and easier, since you practice often!

    Have a good evening!

    Audrey :-)
