      Intuitivement

      (x + 3)(x + 3) = x² + 3x + 3x + 9 = x² + 6x + 9

      donc x = -3

      plus généralement

      dans l'expression ax² + bx + c

      a = 1; b = 6; et c = 9

      et

      note qu'ici b² - 4ac = 6² - 4·9 = 36 - 36 = 0

      et -b/(2a) = -6/2 = -3

      d'où la solution

      x = -b/(2a) = -3
