Student Question

Grade 6 • 1yr.

I can't really tell if its perimeter or area when it comes to multiplication or addition. I don't really understand the surface either and I need some help right now.

    Hi !

It depends on the formula used in the calculation. The perimeter is calculated by additioning the measurement of the sides of the figure and the formula for the area is often a multiplication.

The surface is synonymous with the area in geometry.
