    I think they ask you to use the numbers below to solve the theoric equation, and the answer is suppose to be 5.

    The power of a number is the result of the exponentiation.

    Let's do an example.

    We are searching for :

    $$2^{x}=5$$

    And, we use theoric formula.

    $$M = a^{\log_{a}{M}}$$

    $$5 = 2^{\log_{a}{5}}$$

    Now, you have to isolate a, and you have your answer.
