BACK TO SCHOOL 2026

MONTREAL – Monday, August 31, 2026 – Alloprof, a key player in the academic success of Quebec students for three decades, is taking a new step by making its vast ecosystem of free educational resources and content available in English, guaranteeing English-speaking students in Quebec access to free academic support.

The not-for-profit organization has significantly expanded its support for English-speaking students: nearly 25,000 tools and resources, including worksheets, exercises, videos and games, are now available in English, along with all direct support services (teachers via chat, text, telephone).

“By adapting our resources to the English-language school curriculum of Quebec, we aim to provide English-speaking students and their families with essential additional support to complement that already offered through the educational ecosystem, and with the same quality of services that has made Alloprof such an important part of Quebec’s educational landscape," says Marine Khediguian, English-Speaking Community Coordinator and spokesperson at Alloprof.

Alloprof aims to reach at least 80 per cent of Quebec students, which represents more than 800,000 students, including approximately 85,000 in English-speaking communities. "Our promise: free, personalized support that is always aligned with the realities of the Quebec school system," adds Ms. Khediguian.

To spread this good news about its enhanced services, Alloprof is intensifying its presence in the field. On the agenda is meeting with nearly 3,500 elementary and secondary school students through classroom visits, 2,500 teachers and 500 future teachers via webinars and university visits and more than 350 parents through virtual meetings.

To ensure students have the support they need from the very beginning of the new school year, Alloprof is emphasizing the following in the months to come:
 

1. Secondary school: Fact sheets, explanatory videos, interactive exercises, Ask a Teacher direct support service, and exam preparation guides.
    
2. Primary school: Educational games (Speedy Rabbit, Book of Spells, Motivational Timer), Ask a Teacher direct support service and Learning Together kits.
    
3. For parents: Articles and files in the Alloprof Parents section covering all aspects of their child’s educational path, including a personalized advice service with education professionals.
    

This year, Alloprof is also enhancing its Learning Together offering developed by the learning specialists and speech therapists at Quebec’s Institut des troubles d'apprentissage to help children build literacy and numeracy skills. The 116 activities available in English are designed so parents and their children can complete them at home using everyday materials.
 

Families wishing to limit screen time can also rely on more than 75 printable tools offered free of charge in the Alloprof Parents section.

All Alloprof resources are available free of charge on the organization’s website, www.alloprof.qc.ca/en. The adaptation of Alloprof’s content, interactive games, and learning tools into English was made possible with notable financial support from the Government of Quebec, the Hewitt Foundation, the Pathy Family Foundation, the Trottier Family Foundation, The Rossy Foundation and the R. Howard Webster Foundation.
