Ministry Exam Review Sessions Are Back

Expanded Alloprof initiative aims to help 75,000 Quebec students prepare for Ministry exams

Montreal, April 23, 2026 — Alloprof is enhancing its popular review sessions to provide secondary students with even more comprehensive support as they prepare for Quebec’s Ministry exams, now just weeks away.

Building on the success of the 2025 edition, which saw nearly 20,000 teenagers participate in Ministry Exam Review sessions, Alloprof is expanding its offering with additional sessions designed to motivate and engage secondary students as they prepare. Previously focused exclusively on the French Language Ministry exams, the sessions will now cover four of the key subjects assessed by the Ministry exams: French, mathematics, history and science.

These expanded sessions aim to address achievement gaps observed across the province. While the latest results showed improvements in science and history, French and mathematics remain areas of weakness for many, highlighting the need for targeted preparation tailored to each subject.

“Ministry exams are a source of significant pressure and every young person reacts differently: some become discouraged, while others get stuck on certain concepts. Through these expanded Ministry Exam Review sessions, we are taking our support for students to the next level with practical and motivating pointers to help them prepare more effectively and feel more organized, especially those feeling anxious about these exams,” explains Sandrine Faust, Executive Director of Alloprof. “Our aim is to work alongside teachers to reassure students and help them approach their exams with confidence.”

Second Edition of Ministry Exam Review Sessions

Ministry Exam Review sessions will take place from May 4 to June 16, a few days before each exam, with the goal of attracting more than 75,000 participants across all four subjects. Hosted by Alloprof teachers and Emy Lalune, a content creator adored by Quebec teens, these sessions will be streamed on TikTok and YouTube. They will also be available to watch on demand on the Alloprof website following their broadcast.

Each review session lasts around 45 minutes and provides an overview of the key ideas to master and important advice to keep in mind. Students in secondary two, four and five will be able to ask questions, deepen their knowledge and discover strategies and practical preparation tools, all in a dynamic, accessible format laced with humour and surprises.

“What I love about the Ministry Exam Review sessions is seeing all of us preparing together as a gang,” says Emy Lalune. “With Alloprof, we want students to discover a different approach to studying, one that’s more motivating and, above all, more effective. If we can help students see things more clearly, feel ready and take their exams with confidence, then mission accomplished!”

New resources for elementary school students and parents

Alongside the activities designed for secondary school students, Alloprof is also unveiling two complementary initiatives: the Parcours Allofrançais and an exclusive exam-prep webinar for parents.

Offered in short sessions of around 20 minutes, the Parcours, developed as part of Allofrançais, are interactive modules designed to consolidate the basics of writing in French for cycle two and three students. Their launch coincides with preparations for end-of-year assessments, providing students with practical strategies for revising and improving their writing at a pace that suits them.

For maximum impact, Alloprof is also launching a comprehensive review webinar for parents with students in grades four and six to help them prepare for the Ministry’s French exams. The webinar takes place May 12 at 7:30 p.m. on the Alloprof website and will provide parents with tips and tricks for supporting their child at every stage, with a focus on essential concepts and tools.
