Montreal, July 7, 2026 – Summer means intensive review and retaking exams for tens of thousands of secondary students across Quebec. Alloprof will be there to support them beginning July 8 with an enhanced offering of services featuring classroom workshops (both in-person and virtual), a review survival guide, and personalized support from its teaching team.
“Summer school isn’t just about retaking an exam after failing; it also involves bridging courses, catch-up classes, and reinforcement to prevent falling behind over the summer,” explains Pascal Bonaldo, Student Services Manager and spokesperson at Alloprof. “Students have different needs and that’s why Alloprof is taking a diverse approach. By reaching out to them in-person and virtually, offering practical online tools and providing personalized support from our team of teachers, we ensure that every young person can find an approach that works for them and keeps them motivated.”
An enhanced presence in the classrooms
Among the highlights of the summer, Alloprof will break new ground by inviting all secondary school summer classes in Quebec to two live virtual meetings July 15 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m (in French only). Hosted by Pascal Bonaldo, these short, 10-minute sessions will aim to motivate students through reassuring tips, effective review strategies, and an introduction to Alloprof's key support tools. Students at home and teachers unable to connect live will have access to a recorded session as of July 16 on the organization's website.
Furthermore, the Alloprof team will take to the field starting July 8 to visit schools in the greater Montreal metropolitan area. The team aims to speak directly with and support more than 6,300 students and teachers, up from 5,500 last year.
Enhanced review guide to assist preparation
In parallel, Alloprof is providing an enhanced, ready-to-use toolkit to facilitate studying. An essential review resource, the Summer School Survival Guide brings together essential resources for navigating exams. Students will find simplified study aids, subject-specific review tools and exam simulations, particularly for Secondary 4 mathematics and science. The guide also includes the section Grandes Révisons (in French only), which covers eight major secondary school Ministry exams.
Mobilizing to reach more students than ever
Alloprof’s teacher team will be available via chat, call, or text from July 13 to August 3 to help students facing difficulties during the summer session. To encourage them to ask their questions, Alloprof is launching the "Ask our Teacher a Question" contest. During this period, each question sent will earn the asker a chance to win a $250 gift card for a summer activity of their choice, to share with family or friends. Full details and rules are available at alloprof.qc.ca/en/contests. Teachers are available to answer students' questions Monday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
With its completely free resources tailored to the habits of young people, Alloprof is aiming for a record 700,000 queries during the summer period.
