Argumentative reasoning and critical thinking are both important 21st century skills (link in French). These skills are also assessed in the Secondary V ministry exam, as students will need to use arguments to fully develop and defend a thesis. The 60 seconds to persuade LES asks Secondary V students to think about ways to improve their school environment. Students must build a solid argument with a thesis and persuasive evidence, then present it to their classmates.
