Hi, A prepositional phrase has a preposition as its core. A preposition is the core of a prepositional phrase (GPrép). It is a class of invariable words. It is always followed by a complement. The preposition can be followed by a noun (ex: Le chien de ma soeur), but also by other types of groups. You can refer to this page:
